Garden Tour

The garden is still a work in progress, but here’s what the beds I planted in spring are looking like at the end of July.

It makes me happy that my little tunnel is starting to get some vines reaching to the top.

I even have a Seminole pumpkin dangling from above.

Summer veggies continue to grow. The trellises have kept crops from taking over and make harvesting much easier.

Yellow squash, borage, zinnias, and green beans growing in a bed.
Another bed filled with marigolds, bell peppers, and tomatoes.

The sunflowers have grown into giants.

Sunflowers, sweet potatoes, marigolds, eggplant, and tomatoes growing the the back of the garden.
Bees have been enjoying the sunflowers.

I’ve also discovered some new garden residents like this little lizard.

Four months ago this space was nothing but grass. Even though I still have a bit more garden building to do (and then fill all those paths with gravel), it’s come a long way since March.
